Edinburgh was magical.
New Mexico was magnetic.
New songs being molded.

We did our fourth year at the Edinburgh Jazz & Festival – Second year being their Artist in Residency. Each year we get to explore more of the city and fall deeper in love. We spent 10 back to back days playing to appreciative audiences in these amazing hand built Spiegeltents, filled with velvet, mirrors, stain glass windows and devoted festival volunteers, spot on front and back of house families. It is bittersweet when we leave, but we are excited announce that we were invited back for next year’s festivities. More Haggis – Irn-Bru & clotted cream and scones for this girl!

After our last night we flew straight to New Mexico. The Vagabonds and I had the opportunity to play the center square Santa Fe Bandstand again. Santa Fe is one of those cities that are filled with artisans, self loving individualism, and immense history. Truly a city that separates itself from many other cities in the best way possible.

I’ve been slowly finding time to sit and put my thoughts and feelings into words and chords. I’ve had writers block for sometime, but lately it’s been a bit easier to mold my thoughts into stories. There will be more and more new songs being road tested and a new album is taking shape.

I hope to get to see, sing, and zap you with sparks of love.
You all mean the world to me.

DATV would love to

creative, and just plain lovely
